Who can take a pile of bricks and turn it into a cottage? A contractor can. Who can take a few loads of concrete and turn them into a sidewalk? A contractor can. Now, not all contractors have the same skills. A contractor who primarily works on cottages would probably have difficulty making a sidewalk, for example. However, those in this industry are very used to collaborating and reaching out to others when they come across work they don't specialize in. If you think contractors and their work are awesome, then you've come to the right place. This is a friendly blog where you can read more about the topic.

If gravel is going to be used to cover an existing dirt driveway, making preparations to have the area upgraded and ensuring that there is plenty of room for the delivery driver to maneuver their vehicle onto your property are two steps that you should complete.
A New Project Or An Existing Feature
If you are having a new driveway installed and have hired a contractor to excavate the driveway and tamp down the dirt surface, the contractor will make arrangements to have the gravel delivered to the job site. A new project will require that you select the aggregate material that you prefer.
A sublayer of gravel will be used to stabilize fresh asphalt that is being poured over it. A solid gravel driveway that lacks pavement may influence the size and color of the gravel pieces that you purchase. Ask your contractor to show you samples of the gravel varieties that the supplier sells. If work is being conducted to an existing driveway, you may only need to order a small amount of gravel, to fill in bare spots where gravel was originally located.
The Storage Or Application Method
If you are having your contractor install the gravel pieces, they may have created a staging area where they would like to store the materials that will be applied to the driveway. Another alternative is for the gravel to be deposited directly on the driveway's surface.
Your contractor can direct the delivery driver to ensure that all of the gravel ends up in the area that they have marked. If the gravel isn't going to be installed right away or if you are going to use it for multiple projects, it may be more convenient for you to store the gravel in a pile. Place a thick tarp alongside your home or garage and request that the driver deposit the gravel on top of the tarp.
Clear the end of your driveway, or make room along the edge of your property. This space may be necessary for the delivery driver to maneuver their vehicle. Before placing the order for the gravel and setting up a time to have the gravel delivered, make sure that there will be someone on the receiving end. Your contractor may make arrangements to be at your home on the day of the gravel delivery. Otherwise, you or a family member should be present. Someone will likely be required to sign for the materials that are being dropped off.
